I'm scratching my head over this one. Just took a chill 30-minute drive on a windy road in my EV6 Wind Long Range. When I parked, I smelled something burning and pulled out my heat camera to find my rotors were scorching hot! I was in Level 1 regen, the car was barely accelerating or braking, and I didn't hear any grinding. How in the world did this happen? Anyone else experienced this?

It uses its maximum regen braking whenever you slow down by pressing the brake pedal. This helps the car be as energy-efficient as possible. Only when the regen braking can't slow the car down enough are the regular brakes used, which wastes energy. You can see this happening by watching the energy meter increase when you brake.
