Stuck with my EV6’s Inside Power Outlet Cover

I'm having a bit of a struggle with the inside power outlet in my Kia EV6. I can’t seem to get my mechanical key to fit into the slot to unlock the cover. Is there any trick to getting this thing open?

Yeah, the cover can be tricky, gently wiggle the key while applying slight pressure.
