ICCU Recall Update, not just a rehash

I just watched a new video of Technically Jeff breaking down the latest ICCU recall info. Turns out it's not the same old song and dance as last year. While it's good to see an actual software update, I'm still not convinced this is the best solution. Replacing the whole ICCU and charge port seems like a much better long-term fix.

According to a friend who works for Kia, the problem with the ICCU could be caused by poor voltage regulators. This issue appears to be related to the vehicle's electrical system rather than a charging issue, as I doubt there would be significant voltage fluctuations during normal home charging.

I totally agree with you! A full ICCU and charge port replacement seems like the more reliable solution in the long run.

Yeah, I totally get where you're coming from. A software update is nice, but if the ICCU issue is serious enough, replacing the whole unit and charge port seems like the smarter move. I’d be concerned about how long a software fix can hold up, especially if it’s the same problem resurfacing. Have you heard if anyone’s pushing for hardware replacements yet?
