2025 EV6 Battery Pack

Anyone else excited about the 2025 EV6's bigger battery? I'm loving my '22 GTL-AWD, but that extra range is tempting. I've read the new pack is physically the same size, so I'm wondering if Kia just removed the battery buffer from the current gen to get those extra kWh. Or maybe there's some new battery tech magic going on? Has anyone heard any solid info about the 2025 pack's makeup?

AFAIK, the new battery cells have been improved to store more energy in the same space, so I expect the charging limitations to remain the same as those of the current battery pack.

You are right, removing the battery buffer could definitely raise some long-term reliability concerns. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I get your concern, but I think the extra range is a pretty smart move. They must have found a balance that keeps reliability intact while maximizing efficiency.
