Yes, you’ll need to use a separate USB port for Android Auto or CarPlay since the power-only ports won't support those connections. You can just plug in, and you’re set.

I had the 2022 EV6 for a while, and it was a solid ride with no charging port problems. If you like it, I’d say go for it.

If your 'commando' is the 16A version used at campsites, you can find an adapter at most caravan stores. It usually has a 13A plug on one end and a blue commando socket on the other, allowing you to use your EV6's V2L to power appliances with a more waterproof setup at campsites. I hope this helps!

Relax man, I’ve been using one of the USB-C outlets on the front seats with a short cord, and it never gets in the way. Unfortunately, it's useless for Android Auto or CarPlay since all the USB-C outlets are power-only.

I just saw somewhere that Tesla has tried this in California a few years ago: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_battery_station It seems that fast and reliable high-speed charging has proven to be "good enough," so it might make more sense to invest capital into expanding that instead.

I totally agree with you! A full ICCU and charge port replacement seems like the more reliable solution in the long run.
