I just tried Sport mode in my new EV6 and whoa! Feels like a totally different car! Punchier acceleration, especially from 40 mph and up. Of course, some might be in my head, but what exactly does Sport mode do? Tweak the steering, mess with the regen levels, or something else entirely? I'm curious.

It makes the accelerator pedal much more responsive, and the whole interior gets a makeover with different colored ambient lighting and a sportier display theme.

The dash turns red, so it feels like you’re going faster. Lol
I stick to Eco mode most of the time, but full power is always just a press away.

It’s odd how the range drops a few miles when you switch to sport mode. I wonder if it's because they expect you'll drive less efficiently, or if sport mode really affects performance and efficiency.

I noticed that drop too on a long drive, I switched to sport mode just for fun, and bam, watched the range dip faster than expected. Guess the car figures you'll be flooring it, which totally makes sense with the way sport mode tempts you to drive.

It does seem strange. Sport mode usually ramps up performance, which can lead to a drop in efficiency and range since you're likely pushing the car harder.
