I’m losing it over this Android Auto cord mess. I’ve got this long cord that’s always in the way, and I tried a coiled one, but it’s kinda weird. Anyone figured out the perfect cord setup?

I personally use a 3-foot cord and clip it to the underside of the console to keep it handy. The extra length fits nicely in the storage area below.

Relax man, I’ve been using one of the USB-C outlets on the front seats with a short cord, and it never gets in the way. Unfortunately, it's useless for Android Auto or CarPlay since all the USB-C outlets are power-only.

But if they’re power-only, how do you connect for Android Auto or CarPlay? Do you have to use a separate port?

Yes, you’ll need to use a separate USB port for Android Auto or CarPlay since the power-only ports won't support those connections. You can just plug in, and you’re set.

I use a longer cable with two bends to plug it into the car. I have a special adapter that lets me plug the cable into the car from the side. I hide the cable under the center console and then up the side, where it's clipped. Because I'm using winter mats, you can only see the cable a little bit. On the phone end, I have an adapter that lets me plug the cable into the side of the phone. This way, I can put the phone in the cup holder and the cable comes out from the side without bending.
