Hey EV buddies! Have you also observed a drop in charging speed when using those juice boosters? It seems like we're hitting a limit at 11 kWh on those 22 kWh chargers. My recent pit stop at a fancy AC charger left me scratching my head as my car didn't seem to juice up any quicker than it does on my trusty Level 2 charger back home. What's your experience been like?

While 22kW charging is becoming more common, it's still not standard equipment on most evs. Most evs come equipped with a charger that can handle around 7.2kW.

The EV6 charges maximum of 11kW on AC - which 22kW chargers are. You need DC chargers for the speed.

Uhm, it can be really confusing, especially when you're trying to charge at those 22 kW chargers but only getting 11 kW. Well, it is just like with AC charging, the charging speed depends on your car's capability, the cable, and the charge point. It sounds like you might be hitting the limit of what your setup can handle, just like I did at a fancy AC charger that charged no faster than my Level 2 at home.
