Thinking of getting the Rockville SS10P Subwoofer upgrade. Anyone done it? How'd it go? Worth the trouble? I'm planning to go full DIY on this. Any of y'all got a simple how-to for installing it? Also, will I mess up my warranty if I ditch the stock subwoofer?

For a more straightforward and bolt-on installation, I recommend using a mounting kit. You'll need to complete some minor wiring to connect the subwoofer. If you have any experience with electrical work, I recommend having it installed by a professional audio shop.

If your amp is powered by the rear 12V outlet, the switch position should not be an issue. When the vehicle is turned off, the rear 12V outlet is supposed to be turned off.

But leaving the switch in the ON position may result in a minor energy savings by preventing the amplifier from drawing power when you're not listening to music.

A mounting kit sounds like a solid option, have you done any wiring work before, or do you lean towards getting a pro to handle these kind of installation?

I've done a bit of wiring myself, but if it’s anything complex, I’d probably get a pro to handle it. Like my pop always say " It is so much better safe than sorry!"
