Anyone else out there with a car that auto-brakes? I was driving in the fast lane at 60mph when this giant pickup flies by me like I'm parked, nearly clipping my side! My EV6 suddenly hit the brakes hard. Saved me for sure, but man, that was a jolt! Just curious if this is normal or if there's a way to adjust how sensitive the auto-brake is?

I know this is just a safety feature, but I'm concerned about potential unintended consequences. What happens if a sudden obstacle appears, like a ball rolling into the street? Could the system confuse it with a real collision risk? This is especially worrying with children on board.

Is it crazy that I had a similar experience when my car auto-braked while I was merging into traffic. A crazy driver cut me off, and my car reacted faster than I could. I checked the settings afterward, and there was an option to adjust the sensitivity.

That's wild! Have you adjusted the sensitivity settings since then, and did it help?

I get your concern. The system should only engage for real collision risks, but it might be extra cautious with small objects.

Yes, I did adjust the sensitivity settings, and it definitely made a difference. The auto-braking feels more in tune with my driving now, which gives me peace of mind.
