So, my cousin just test drove the EV6 Wind trim, and he wasn’t feeling the seats at all. I totally get it; comfort is key. He loved everything else about the car (except maybe the door handles), which was a bummer. I tried to convince him how amazing the EV6 is, especially since I have one myself. I told him it’s such a nice-looking electric vehicle and checks all the boxes for me. He adjusted the seats a bunch of times but just couldn’t get comfy. The dealer suggested he try the GT version because the seats are slightly different. I’m curious too, is that true? I really want him to love the EV6 as much as I do. :cautious:

I have a relative who sold his EV6 after a few weeks after he bought it because of the seats. No adjustment wouldn't provoke him back sore on longer drives. The same as your cousin, he liked everything about the car, except the seats. I guess it is his decision.

Oh, really? I’m kinda surprised the foam varies between the seats. You’d think the only real difference would be between the GT and the other trims, not between the Wind and GT-Line. What’s up with that?

I think they're making the side supports more comfortable now. But since I got mine, I haven't had any problems with it being too hard or uncomfortable.

That’s really interesting to hear. I’ve heard a few people mention discomfort with the seats now, and it seems like it can be hit or miss depending on the person. My cousin might just fall into that category too.

It’s tough because the rest of the EV6 really shines, but comfort is non-negotiable for long drives. I’m hoping he gives the GT version a try to see if it makes a difference, but at the end of the day, it’s all about finding the right fit. Everyone's body reacts differently you know...

Yeah, it surprised me too! I thought the seat differences would mostly be between the GT and the non-GT trims, but apparently, even the Wind and GT-Line seats have some slight variations. From what I’ve heard, it’s not just about the foam but also the design and bolstering. The GT-Line and GT versions might have a sportier feel that offers more support. I’m curious myself to see how much of a difference it makes in terms of comfort.

Good to know. It seems like the newer models might have adjusted things a bit for comfort. I haven’t had any major issues with mine either, but I guess it really comes down to personal preference and body type. It’s great that the side supports are working well for you, I think that’s a big factor in making the seats feel more snug and less stiff for some drivers.
