I saw that the stock brake controller that mounts in the dash is sold by Rock Auto. Anybody know if a re-flash is necessary for the plug to genuinely function? I'm sure it's there, hidden below the dash.
I dont think it needs a re-flash for the plug to function, it should work without any additional steps.I saw that the stock brake controller that mounts in the dash is sold by Rock Auto. Yep, you’ll need a re-flash for it to work properly. The plug might be there, but the system won’t recognize it without the update.I saw that the stock brake controller that mounts in the dash is sold by Rock Auto. I haven’t used that stock brake controller from Rock Auto, but I had a similar experience with my old truck. I installed a new controller, and it worked fine without a re-flash. You might want to check the user manual or ask around to see if anyone else had to re-flash for it to function.I saw that the stock brake controller that mounts in the dash is sold by Rock Auto. Yeah, I’ve been there. When I upgraded the brake controller on my EV6, I didn’t need a re-flash either, it worked fine right out of the box. I would still say check your manual just in case, but from my experience, you’re likely good to go without any extra steps.I haven’t used that stock brake controller from Rock Auto, but I had a similar experience with my old truck. I ran into that issue when I tried to add a new feature to my car. I thought I could just plug it in and be good to go, but nope! I had to schedule a service visit for a re-flash. Once it was done, everything worked like a charm, and I learned my lesson about the importance of those updates.Yep, you’ll need a re-flash for it to work properly.
