Want to Upgrade My EV6 Wind Door Handles

So I got a used EV6 Wind AWD a while back and I'm thinking about upgrading the door handles. You know how they get all worn out? Yeah, I wanna swap those manual ones for the fancy auto ones like the GT Line has. Any idea if that's even possible? Like, can I just buy the parts and slap 'em on or is it a whole wiring mess? And how much would something like that cost? Hit me with any tips you've got!

AFAIK, this is a very complicated and costly upgrade. Much better to switch to GT Line if you want to have it.

Upgrading to auto door handles is a great idea. You’ll need the parts and may have to do some wiring, so check with a dealer for details and costs.

To get this working, you’ll need the door handles, new wiring harnesses for all four doors, and the ECU for the handles. However, there’s a catch, if the security ECU and handle ECU are from different trims, they might not get along, which could mess everything up.

Unfortunately, this probably isn’t an easy swap. The GT-Line’s door handles aren’t just motorized they’re connected to the car’s ECU and keyless entry system, which isn’t present in the Wind trim. Even if you buy the parts, you’ll need wiring modifications and coding updates, which could cost more than it’s worth. Unless you’re really set on this upgrade, I’d say stick with the manual handles to avoid a headache.
