Struggling to Replace EV6

Unfortunately, my EV6 was declared a complete loss by insurance due to the extensive wait for Kia to get someone qualified to work on the 800-volt system before accident repairs could even begin. I’m pretty bummed, as it’s genuinely been one of the best cars I’ve ever owned.

I’ve test-driven a bunch of EVs, hoping to find something that gives me the same experience as the EV6, but it’s been tough. The Ioniq 5 doesn’t handle quite the same, and though the GV60 comes close in performance mode, the 200-mile range isn’t ideal for me in LA traffic. The Ioniq 6 feels like a downgrade in materials, and the i4 has promising performance but racks up a hefty price with the added options.

Anyone else facing the end of their lease or thinking of moving on from the EV6? What’s been on your radar for a replacement, or what other EVs are you considering? Open to any suggestions

that’s got to be a frustrating experience. I’ve heard similar things from other EV6 owners who found it tough to replicate the handling and feel. If you’re okay with a slightly different vibe, the Tesla Model Y might be worth a look. It’s got the range for LA traffic and tons of charging options, since they're technically THE charging standard now. The handling isn’t the same, but it does have the performance, and Tesla’s service and charging infrastructure is strong. But hey, have you looked at the Lucid Air? It’s pricier, but the range and luxury might make it a strong alternative option.
