OTA Updates on my 2022 Kia EV6 AWD wind

As a proud owner of a 2022 Kia EV6 AWD Wind, I’ve been checking into its features and tech, but one thing remains unclear: Can OTA (over-the-air) updates happen with just the basic Kia Connect service?

I’ve tried searching around but haven’t found definitive answers yet. Another thing I’m curious about, does Kia actively highlight updates or provide a way to confirm the latest revision levels of firmware and software? Here’s my situation: I have no idea how close my EV6 is to being fully updated. If anyone has insights or a similar experience, I’d love to hear about it.

Yes, OTA updates can happen with the basic Kia Connect service, but there’s a chance you might experience some resets, as many of us did. I was on the Lite version, and it caused some of my settings to reset unexpectedly. As for update notifications, Kia doesn’t always highlight them clearly, but you should be able to confirm the latest revisions through the system’s settings or by checking with the dealer.
