Kia park assist issues

My son just got a 2023 EV6 GT-Line RWD, and the dealer was absolutely useless in showing him how anything works. He's been trying to figure out the Park Assist, but it's driving him crazy!

He's only ever getting the "Looking for spaces" message on the screen. All the videos online show the system actually finding and guiding him into a spot.

He took it to the dealer for an inspection, and the techs there said the GT-Line RWD doesn't even have Park Assist! But he has the button for it on the console, and when he presses it, it gives him the option to choose between the parking cameras and Park Assist. So, it seems like it should be there.

Any ideas on how to get this thing working? Or are those techs right, and it's just not equipped with Park Assist?

that’s confusing! If the button and options are there, it really seems like it should work. Maybe try giving the sensors a quick wipe, sometimes dirt can mess with the readings. If the dealership's no help, reaching out directly to Kia customer service might get better results.
