Is my EV6 learning my driving habits or is this a battery issue

I’ve got a 2023 Kia EV6, and I’ve noticed a change in the predicted range lately. A full charge would show around 300 miles. Now, it’s showing about 200 miles when charged to 80%. I do drive fast on highways and have taken quite a few long trips. I’m wondering if the car "learns" my habits over time?

Also, I was running soft snow tires during the winter here in Erie, PA, could that have tweaked the estimate too? I usually charge to 80% on a Level 2 charger once it drops to around 30%. Is this normal battery behavior, or should I be concerned?

If you’ve been pushing highway speeds a lot lately, the car’s probably adjusting its range estimate to match your current style. Snow tires do add some drag too, which can cut range in colder months. Try resetting your driving history in the settings if you want to see how it adjusts back with regular tires.

Man, that initial range estimate was way off. It said I could go 300 miles, but now it's showing closer to 200. Seems like it got more realistic after I did some highway driving. And I've noticed that how I charge doesn't really change the range much, unless I only top it off a little bit, like 5%. If I do that, it seems to rely more on how I've been driving lately.

That sounds pretty normal! I’ve seen my range shift around too, depending on how I’m driving and the speed. The car seems to pick up on your habits, so it might adjust to give a more real-world estimate based on how you’ve been driving lately. If everything else is still running smooth; I wouldn’t stress. Just keep an eye on it!
