After nearly two years with my Kia EV6 I finally decided to move on. This past weekend I sold it to Carvana and joined the Tesla crowd.
Why the change?
The EV6 itself? Fantastic. Great tech, solid driving dynamics, and an awesome 800V charging system.
The charging network? A nightmare. Inconsistent stations, constant app juggling, and payment headaches made long trips a pain.
Tesla’s NACS integration is coming for Kia, but it’s still a ways off, and I didn’t want to wait on uncertain software updates and compatibility rollouts.
I’ll miss the EV6 community you guys have been great! But for now, I’m off to see how the Tesla life treats me. Anyone else considering a switch, or are you sticking it out to see how Kia’s NACS rollout goes?
