I was checking my Wallbox Pulsar+ (set to 40A) while charging my 2023 Kia EV6 GT-Line. Not sure if this is normal so I'm putting it out there. It started off charging steadily at 9.0kW but when I checked back two hours later, the power fluctuated between 4-9kW.

1. Charging from 33% to 80% took about 5 hours, so it seems normal.
2. Garage temp was 86°F, so not extreme.
3. Charging was done during non-peak hours.

anyone know why the charging power varies so much? Is this normal for the EV6? should I be looking into it further and take it to the dealer??

I have the same device, and it’s been acting this way both before and after the ICCU fix. The current seems steady though. I’ve got an energy monitor on the Wallbox circuit and it shows a constant reading but the Wallbox usually only hits 70-80% of what the monitor shows. I reported it to Wallbox support but no fix yet maybe they’re too busy chasing after software updates

My house EV charger has a monitor on the rest of the house - so it cuts current to EV if heavy use elsewhere in the house. Could that apply to yours?
